SGC Phosphate Mine Development Technology Exchange Meeting

On April 29, 2025, at the invitation of the Sino Great Chemical Company Limited team, Chonfar Engineering & Technology Company came to Zambia to conduct a 7-day field survey of the SGC phosphate mining project. After 7 days of field investigation, more accurate and detailed first-hand information on SGC’s phosphate development was obtained. In response to the technical exchange requirements of the ZCCM-IH team, Wonderful Group organized a special seminar on SGC phosphate development technology. The meeting was held at the headquarters of Wonderful Group.

During the meeting, they were very satisfied with the phosphate reserves, and then they appreciated the taste of the phosphate, and then proposed a development plan.

During the meeting, the ZCCM-IH team asked a series of questions about the technical mining of the mine, such as the field inspection, the storage capacity of the mine and the ore grade, and what kind of technology is needed for later mining, and what technology is the best solution for our current mining. The Chonfar Engineering & Technology team answered them one by one. The meeting lasted for more than an hour, during which the two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on mining development technology.

The details of the relevant discussions are as follows:

1. Resource confirmation: The ZCCM-IH team highly recognized the phosphate reserves and ore grade.

2. Technical inquiry: Key questions raised around the mining plan:

Reserve calculation method (whether to use 3D geological modeling and JORC standards)

Mining technology selection (open pit/underground mining, application of green mineral processing technology)

Tailing treatment plan (ESG compliance of dry stack/wet discharge)

3. Solution: The team of China Bluestar Changhua proposed a "modular development strategy" based on field data, and suggested building a mineral processing plant in stages to reduce initial capital expenditure.

The meeting reached a technical consensus, and ZCCM-IH required Chonfar Engineering & Technology to submit a formal "Technical Feasibility Report". In addition, everyone expected Chonfar Engineering & Technology team to visit us again and provide further technical guidance. The team of Chonfar Engineering & Technology team also promised to come to Zambia again in August to provide further technical guidance and exchanges with everyone.
