On April 1, 2025, Zambia Sino Great Chemical Company Limited and China Wuhuan Engineering Co., Ltd. formally signed the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) Turnkey Contract for an annual production capacity of 300,000 tons of phosphate fertilizer at the headquarters of China Wuhuan in Wuhan. Guided by the principles of "mutual trust, mutual benefit, collaboration, and efficiency," the two parties reached a comprehensive cooperation agreement to advance the project.
This project is a key industrial initiative in the chemical sector by Zambia Wonderful Group, aiming to extend the core industrial chain of phosphorus chemicals, enhance resource utilization efficiency, strengthen corporate competitiveness, and provide robust support for food security in Africa. Under the contract, China Wuhuan, as the EPC contractor, will assume full responsibility for the project’s engineering design, equipment procurement, construction, and project management to ensure high-quality and high-standard implementation.
China Wuhuan boasts profound technical expertise and EPC contracting capabilities in nitrogen fertilizer, phosphorus chemicals, and related fields, making it a trusted partner for Sino Great Chemical. This collaboration will further propel the professionalization and large-scale development of the phosphorus chemical industry.
China Wuhuan will leverage its advantageous resources and strictly implement the project plan to assist Sino Great Chemical in establishing an industry benchmark project.
The signing ceremony marks the project’s entry into the full implementation phase. Both parties will jointly drive efficient construction and timely production, contributing to the high-quality development of the phosphorus chemical industry.
Attending the signing ceremony were Yu Xin, Party Secretary and Chairman of China Wuhuan; Zhao Tao, General Manager; Wang Jiayi, Deputy General Manager; Huang Yaochi, Chairman of Zambia Wonderful Group; senior executives of the group; and Shashank Kirit Mehta, CEO of Sino Great Chemical Company Limited.
